Colds & Viruses - Causes of Obesity - Obesity Surgery Guide
Having a cold can make you feel miserable but it can also make you fat as well. A body of research from Louisiana State University in the US has found that the viruses responsible for sore throats and colds also cause weight gain. They appear to trigger the growth of fat cells which means extra adipose. This can happen even if food consumption stays the same. We often talk about ‘feeding a cold' but this might not be such a good idea after all.
