Can I get Rhinoplasty on the NHS?
This is a common question when asked about Rhinoplasty and is difficult to answer clearly. In general, Rhinoplasty is not available on the NHS; however, this refers to cosmetic Rhinoplasty which is when it is done for purely aesthetic purposes. For the NHS to consider paying for Rhinoplasty there must be significant factors such as physical or psychological which make the surgery worthwhile; i.e. the patient has severe breathing problems. If this is the case then the decision lies with a primary care trust which will decide whether the operation is required to help with your health. If, however, the primary care trust decides that your case does not require surgery (in that it does not threaten your health in any way), it is perfectly possible to have the treatment done privately.
